Seasonal Living

Living seasonally means leaning into the reality of where you are. It means in winter, BE in winter.

I want to light candles and fairy lights. I want to wrap up in cozy blankets and fuzzy socks.

This winter, I plan on drinking hot chocolate and playing in new planners. I want to be present with the other people huddled in the house. I will read books. I will do a digital detox. I will take brisk walks in the bright winter sun.

Living seasonally means not wishing for the future, but accepting the gift of the present season.

breathe in. breathe out.

breathe in. breathe out.
make a cup of tea.
listen to what is surrounding you.
see what is next to you.
stand and stretch.

breathe in. breathe out.
say “thank you” as a simple prayer.
roll your shoulders back.
turn off the screen.
walk until your heart slows.

breathe in. breathe out.
say “please” as honest prayer.
text someone who makes you smile.
do that thing you have been resisting.
give something important away.

breathe in. breathe out.
allow everything to pause.
be still.
create rest.
breathe in.
breathe out.
